Maintenance and upkeep of CNC machine tools
The maintenance and upkeep of CNC machine tools are very important, which helps to extend the service life of the machine tool and increase work efficiency. However, the maintenance of CNC machine tools is also troublesome and requires high knowledge from maintenance personnel. Therefore, the following are some simple maintenance techniques for everyone:
1. Choose a suitable usage environment: The usage environment of CNC lathes can affect the normal operation of the machine tool. Therefore, when installing the machine tool, strict requirements should be met to meet the installation conditions and requirements specified in the machine tool manual. Under economic conditions, CNC lathes should be installed separately from ordinary mechanical processing equipment to facilitate maintenance and upkeep.
2. CNC lathes should be equipped with experienced personnel to program, operate, and maintain the CNC system.
3. Long term maintenance and upkeep of CNC lathe: When the CNC lathe is idle, it should be regularly powered by the CNC system. When the machine is locked, it will run empty.
4. Maintenance and upkeep of CNC system hardware control part: Regular inspection once a year. Check whether the relevant reference voltage is within the specified range; Check whether the connections of various electrical components in the system are loose; Check if the fans used in each functional module are running properly and clean the dust; Check if the external regenerative discharge unit used for the servo amplifier and spindle amplifier is securely connected; Check if the voltage of the memory backup battery used in each function block is normal. For long-term shutdown of the CNC machine tool, it should be started and operated for 4 hours every month, which can extend the service life of the CNC machine tool.
5. Maintenance of the mechanical part of the machine tool: The operator should clean up the chips scattered in the drag board, guide rail, etc. after each shift of processing; During work, it is important to check whether the chip conveyor is functioning properly to avoid chip accumulation, damage to the accuracy of the guide rail, and endangering the lifespan of the ball screw and guide rail; Before the end of the work, each servo axis should return to its original point and then stop.
6. Maintenance and upkeep of machine tool spindle motor: Servo motor and spindle motor should be inspected regularly.
7. Maintenance of machine tool feed servo motor: For CNC lathes, the servo motor needs to be maintained every 10-12 months, and for machines with frequent acceleration or deceleration changes, maintenance should be carried out every 2 months.
